Lung Defence and Immunology
The Lung Defence and Immunology Service provides specialist treatment and care for people of all ages with difficult lung infections and Immunodeficiency. If you are preparing to move to adult care our team of doctors, nurses and physiotherapists welcome all young people and their families to visit our hospital. We have a dedicated outpatient clinic for young people and the nurse specialists run a telephone support service so that you can have access to advice, support and information about your condition or treatments between your routine clinic appointments.

Transplant and GUCH
The Grown up Congenital Heart (GUCH) Services provides support and education to all young adults with congenital heart conditions.
The Transplant Unit supports the long term care of young people who have received a heart, lung or heart-lung transplant in a paediatric transplant centre. We also follow patients who have or are at risk of developing heart failure where they have been previously looked after by paediatric teams.
Prior to your transition you will have the opportunity to visit Papworth and relevant service informally should you wish. If you are looking to transition to Papworth Hospital’s services we run a telephone support service so that you can speak to a member of the team with any concerns or queries you may have.

The Papworth Hospital adult CF Centre has a host of doctors, nurses and physiotherapists waiting to welcome you to this service. With specialists on hand 24/7 to discuss any worries you have whether they are personal or relating to your treatment or medication, you will have all the support you need from the CF team.
New patient visits are arranged for a Thursday and involve you having a number of tests tailored to your needs. You will also get the opportunity to meet members of the multidisciplinary team such as a physiotherapist, dietician, psychologist, social worker, specialist nurse and consultant.

The Papworth National Adult Ataxia Telangiectasia Service provides specialist assessment and care for Adults with AT. If you are moving from paediatric to adult care hopefully you and your family will have already met some of the team at the Transition Clinic at Nottingham Hospital. If you have any concerns about our facilities or the nature of our service please contact our specialist AT co-ordinator or speak to Kaye at the AT Society.

The Pulmonary vascular Disease Unit, (PVDU) is one of the national centres for pulmonary hypertension in England and designated as the only centre for the provision of a pulmonary endarterectomy service in the UK. If you are preparing to move to adult care, our team of doctors and specialist nurses welcome all young people and their families to visit our hospital. Specialist nurses also run a telephone support service so that you can have access to advice, support and information about your condition or treatments between your routine clinic appointments.
