Meet the team driving the vision for this bespoke £165million build on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus:

Ken Brewer

Project Director
Ken is the Project Director for the new Papworth Hospital, a role he has undertaken since the development of the Strategic Outline Case in 2004. He was previously a Health Authority Director of Finance and Chief Executive of an NHS Trust in Scotland. Ken is an accountant by profession, a member of the Institute of Healthcare Management and has a diploma in Health Economics from Aberdeen University.

Zoe Selmes

Deputy Project Director and Project Accountant
Zoe was appointed to Papworth as Project Accountant in January 2010 and Deputy Project Director in September 2013. Zoe is the project lead for Finance and Commercial in the New Hospital.

Zoe previously trained in practice as a Chartered Accountant before working in finance roles in financial services, manufacturing and utilities industries for 15 years. She is a qualified member of ICAEW and has an MBA.

Jacqui McDonald

Project Manager
Jacqui was appointed as Project Manager in March 2009. Jacqui is the project lead for Facilities Management and Equipment in the New Hospital. She also assists in the Clinical Design with specific responsibility for Art, Interior Design and Wayfinding.

Jacqui worked previously at West Suffolk Hospital as Capital Planning and Equipment Manager following 20 years as a nurse and ward manager. Jacqui has an MSc in Planning Buildings for Health.

Louise Bardsley

Deputy Project Director

Louise joined the Project Team in January 2007 and was appointed Deputy Project Director in September 2015. Louise was previously head of Capital Project at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH). Louise is the project lead for Facilities Management and also assists in the Commercial and Campus Interface workstreams.

Colin Glen

Clinical Project Manager
Colin was appointed to Papworth as Clinical Project Manager in June 2007. Colin is the project lead for Clinical Design in the New Hospital.

Colin worked previously at Homerton Hospital as Capital Planning Manager following 18 years as an Operating Department Practitioner and Operating Theatre Manager.
