Papworth Hospital re-accredited as an 'Investor in People'

Papworth Hospital has been re-accredited as an ‘Investor in People’ - a national framework that recognises organisations that effectively manage and develop their staff.

Following a week long assessment, involving meeting over 60 staff, the external assessor reported “I was extremely impressed by the hospital’s commitment to continuous improvement, learning and development and to staff involvement. There were many areas of excellent and good practice noted’. The assessor had visited Papworth for its initial assessment in 2001, and a review in 2004 commented on the significant development made since that time.

Stephen Bridge, Papworth Hospital’s Chief Executive said “This award is excellent news and recognises the value that the Hospital places on educating and developing its staff. Through this commitment, every member of our staff, whatever their job, knows what role they play in delivering excellent patient care.”
