Healthcare support workers

Healthcare support workers

Our healthcare support workers work alongside registered nurses to care for our patients and help to ensure the smooth running of clinical areas across the hospital.

It's a hugely varied and rewarding role that enables you to make a real difference to our patients every day. We can also offer flexible working if you would like to work part-time or just night shifts, for example.

You don't need any training to be a healthcare support worker as we can offer full training on the job. We have opportunities for healthcare support workers to undertake further training, and offer an apprenticeship pathway for healthcare support workers to progress to different roles within the organisation. Apprenticeships we offer include a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship, a Level 5 Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree in Nursing Apprenticeship and a Level 6 Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship.

If you're interested in becoming a healthcare support worker at Papworth, please in touch with our recruitment nurses Linda Lewis or Maria Mantziou by phone via switchboard on 01480 830541 or via email to  linda.lewis10@nhs.net or maria.mantziou@nhs.net

You can see our current vacancies for health support workers on the NHS Jobs website.
